The great traditions of the Irish country house have been masterfully preserved at Marlfield House, an elegant Regency mansion owned and run by the Bowe family just outside Gorey, Co Wexford. Since opening its doors to guests 25 years ago, and subsequently being invited into the prestigious Relais et Chateaux group in 1984, Marlfield has gained an outstanding reputation for sumptuous surroundings, superior service and excellent cuisine.
Marlfield bears all of the signs of a beautifully cared for house filled with fresh flowers, gleaming antiques, blazing fires and wonderful paintings. The 20 bedrooms are furnished with fine antiques and fabrics, all have marble bathrooms and all mod cons. Oversized robes and luxurious toiletries perpetuate the feeling of luxury. With the addition of its magnificent state room wing, including the Print Suite, Marlfield also provides the ideal setting for small boardroom and think tank style meetings. This magnificent suite opens onto the gardens and will seat 20 around its fine antique table.
The Drawing Room, Grand Hall and Library each provide endless possibilities as break out rooms. Meetings at Marlfield often tend to have the house to themselves during the day providing privacy and the ideal environment for working in. Following an arduous day of brain-storming, our excellent cuisine and fine wine cellar can be enjoyed in the elegant but relaxing atmosphere of our long established conservatory restaurant. Hence the requirements of today's most industrious and discerning of groups are met at Marlfield.
